Teaching
I teach in the Psychology department at Florida Southern College, with courses spanning research methods, the science of judgment and decision-making, as well as introduction to psychology. I previously served as a teaching assistant and recitation instructor across many courses at Stony Brook University.
Undergraduate Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
Science of Judgments and Decisions
An overview of major theories and paradigms on how people reason and choose under uncertainty and how they optimally should. Major themes include heuristics, biases, and the models researchers use to describe and improve judgment and decision-making.
Undergraduate Fall 2026
Research Design and Statistics
Foundations of designing psychological studies and analyzing quantitative data, from forming hypotheses to drawing statistical inferences. Students get into teams and propose a project, get IRB approval, collect data, and present their findings in a research forum.
Undergraduate Spring 2026
Advanced Research Design and Analysis
A deeper treatment of experimental design and statistical modeling. This is basically first year of grad stats for advanced undergraduates.
Undergraduate Fall 2026
Critical Thinking in Psychology
Independent study where students develop research projects and I serve as their mentor.
